Complete Overthrow! Your day will come.
You will be believed... Success supreme!

A healthy lake turns over once a year
(lest it die) as that is natures order.

Summer gives way to winter and night
gives way to day as that is only right.

Natural governance tends to 'molt'.
Unnatural governance ends in revolt.

We must learn to understand these
changes by noting their regularities.

Thus the superior one plans ones year
and takes note of the seasons clear.

One has support, and the time's right,
for overthrow with nothing to regret.

This is the way that order and clarity
take form in all the apparent insanity.

49. CHANGE: THE LINES

NINE AT THE BOTTOM:
Firm self-control is necessary.
Evil comes from acting prematurely.
Changes ought to be made only
when there's no other certainty.

SIX IN SECOND PLACE:
Considering inner attitude is at stake.
This brings good fortune, not mistake.

No blame. Starting brings good fortune.
Your day will come for revolution!

We've tried every way to bring reform
without success. It's time to overturn.

Upheavals must be carefully prepared.
An able, official, advocate is required.

We've no choice but to go and face it.
It's the only way we can prepare for it.

NINE IN THIRD PLACE:
It's strong clear & in change's place
But this situation denies great haste.
Wait until time Is right in any case.
Going prematurely brings one to waste.
Give 3 warnings, then make your case.
All 3 warnings must comprise the base.
If not... Things will end in disgrace.

9 IN 4TH PLACE:
A radical change of position
(if there's correct motivation
and appropriate preparation)
brings impressive fortune.

9 IN 5TH PLACE:
In moving and adapting like a tiger
one doesn't need to consult a "seer".
In making distinctions out from afar
one makes ones own position clear.

SIX AT THE TOP:
Pushing severely promotes disgrace.
A superior changes with cat's grace.
The inferior just molts in the face.
Perseverance brings Heaven's grace.
