Increase is Decrease (41) turned over
As Gentle Wind, above, Arouses Thunder
bringing opportunities to the lower.
Heaven dispenses so that Earth may restore
all things, in all directions, Everywhere
Hence it is the renewing Law of Nature
that things must follow each other.
Wind and Thunder upbuild one another
promoting growth and sincere character.
Thus doing something it does further.
Center yourself. Cross the great water.
No time to waste! Time will not endure.
Decreasing what is above to benefit the lower
is what arouses joy and gives people the power
to undertake great endeavors even further.
Proceeding in harmony with the hour...
Increase blesses the gentler and milder
with daily progress and increase in power.
Thunder arouses, in it's lightning power
divine probity causes dark to cower.
Dark clouds disperse in thunder's shower
thereby bringing everything to flower.
Thus one must serve to be a good ruler.
Self-improvement is what we will discover
if we copy the good we see in each other.
42. INCREASE: THE LINES...
NINE AT THE BOTTOM:
Heaven helps those who need the energy
to unselfishly achieve great destiny.
6 IN 2ND PLACE:
One wins meaning before God and minion
by accomplishing a good for creation.
Persistence brings one good fortune.
One brings Increase by a production
in oneself a requisite condition...
With Godly Love, and Receptive Devotion,
where increase is thus brought in unison
with the universe's highest condition,
no alignment of the stars can stop one.
However everything depends on one
(through inner strength and vision)
preventing unheralded good fortune
from making one not heed environs.
6 IN 3RD PLACE:
A time of blessing and providence
has such a strong effect that events
unfortunate turn into benevolence.
6 IN 4TH PLACE:
There should be a mediator
between leader and follower.
Since support comes from leader
one keep nothing back as Retainer
This sort of intermediator,
who has influence on the leader,
is important when it's a matter
of great deeds that decide the future.
9 IN 5TH PLACE:
Where Godly Influences exude
True Grace needs not gratitude
as it's source is Inner Attitude.
NINE AT THE TOP:
Those who are in a high position
increase those in subordination
by means of self renunciation.
Neglecting this helps no one
as an unsteady heart brings misfortune.
Influence is lost and one is left all alone.
This position invites aggression.
