Yin lines rise up with overwhelming power. In attempting to overthrow Yang altogether. This time dark forces overcome the superior as roof and house seem to collapse asunder. A time when a throng of distaining inferior mob the remaining magnanimous superior. For the superior one it does not further to undertake anything, or proceed anywhere. Adversity often requires appropriate behavior. Sometimes, to bad times, one must surrender. Here, no one's to blame... It's the weather. In avoiding action, or comment, one is wiser. There are times to win and times to be a loser. Like a tall willow sprout growing near water... The winds, and rains, come and knock it over. You must cultivate a wider base of power.
23. DETERIORATION: THE LINES... 6 AT BOTTOM: Misfortune. Individuals of an inferior persuasion have risen to this opportune occasion and are undermining your position creating conditions of deterioration. This is bad for the honorable person. All one can do is wait for transition. 6 IN 2ND PLACE: Misfortune. The powers of inferior ones have grown bringing danger closer to one's own (as there is already clear indication) one is without friendly contribution. Great care is needed in this isolation. One must adapt fast to avoid perdition. Stubbornly maintaining one's position can only lead to one's own destruction. SIX IN THIRD PLACE: One splits from the inferior and joins with a superior blamelessly pursuing career. 6 IN 4TH PLACE: Misfortune. Nicked skin and popped balloon! SIX IN THE FIFTH PLACE: The lower subordinates itself to what is true, attaining joy, and the higher receives its due. NINE AT THE TOP: Misfortune has spent itself. Good fortune invites itself.
