11. PEACE AND HARMONY |
|

NINE IN THE SECOND PLACE:
Bear the uncouth in gentleness.
Cross the river with resoluteness.
Neglect not what is in the distance.
Avoid cliques and factions dominance
thus allows one to take a middle pass.
When prosperous it's good to possess
enough greatness to bear the masses.
In masterful hands nothing is useless.
This generosity isn't laxity or weakness.
NINE IN THE THIRD PLACE:
There's no slope not preceded by a plain.
There's no peace not open to agitation.
One who perseveres in danger will remain.
If you don't push your luck... No blame.
About this truth one should not complain.
Enjoy the good fortune you still retain.
As everything has its' chance or turn...
Prosperity is always followed by decline.
To eternal earthly law this does pertain.
This may induce a melancholy condition
but aught serve to keep us from falling
into the dangerous illusion terrain.
SIX IN THE FOURTH PLACE:
Collaborating, without boasting of wealth,
sincerely, without contriving stealth,
is a good indicator of one's inner wealth.
SIX IN THE FIFTH PLACE:
By law, the imperial princesses
(Tho higher in rank than their husbands)
had to obey the princes like other wives.
In this modest union happiness thrives.
SIX AT THE TOP:
The wall has fallen.
Maintain your town.
